This site provides information on actual traffic calming examples. I have put this site together because photos of actual installations and experience of their use may be more helpful to people seeking information than desciptions of theoretical techniques. I am a licensed Professional Engineer and have over twenty years traffic engineering experience in the USA, and about ten years in Europe [UK]. During this time I have been involved in numerous traffic studies and projects including a wide variety of traffic calming projects. In 2012 I retired as City Engineer for the City of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. I am now available for consultations, advice or commissions related to traffic calming, traffic engineering or municipal engineering.
