This site provides information on actual traffic calming examples. I have put this site together because photos of actual installations and experience of their use may be more helpful to people seeking information than lists of theoretical techniques. This site is prepared from a purely personal point of view and the views expressed are entirely my own. I am a licensed Professional Engineer and have over twenty-five years traffic engineering experience about half in the UK (London Area) and the other half in the USA. During this time I have been involved in numerous traffic studies and projects including a wide variety of traffic calming projects. I hope that you will find this site a worthwhile resource, and I intend to update it with interesting traffic calming initiatives that I come across. Peter Partington
